Gen. Robbie Risner's 9' Tall Statue

A 9' tall statue of B/Gen Robbie Risner, USAF (Ret.) was dedicated at the U.S. Air Force Academy on Friday, November 16 2001. Nam-POWs' friend, Ross Perot, ensured that the statue would genuinely represent one of the Air Force's finest and that present and future USAFA cadets would have a role model and inspiration they will never forget. Forty or so of Gen. Risner's ex-POW friends attended. So why is it 9' tall? Click here to see - read the whole story of Hoa Lo Prison's most "notorious" set of residents!

Pictured above with General Risner are Commander George Coker, Navy Captain Jim Mulligan and Commander Paul Galanti. The snapshots below are representative of the events that transpired during this remarkable weekend. - Paul Galanti (Scroll down for thumbnails...)
